Hi, I have to ship a 24" Dell LCD Monitor from Las Vegas to London - still got to work out how to get it received safely in LV! - and I wondered if anyone has a clue about what it costs to ship a box the size of this on ground transport with someone like Fedex (I'm going to call Fedex on Monday but wanted to try and get an idea or suggestions here first). Failing shipping, I'm going to have to leave/sell it in LV!

According to the quick quote system on the FedEx web site, to ship a 10Kg package (Insight quote a Dell 24" LCD to weigh 10Kg shipping weight) from Las Vegas to the UK will be around the $200 mark using the cheapest FedEx economy service.

Don't forget to include the weight of a decent shipping crate and protection so it arrives in a usable condition.

And then there's the duty fee.

Yeah I bought some trainers from the USA the other day. Cost me $22 plus $10 shipping via Fedex. Got charged £40 tax so the tax was more than the item+shipping combined!!
I've asked Fedex for a breakdown of the tax how to where they got figure from.

FedEx normally mails or emails the sender the customs forms a few days after the shipment arrives. Waste of paper as we normally send documents.
