Ok stupid question of the day.

Let's say I break down and let an Apple product into my house,so i've been a good boy and downloaded a whole bunch of songs from Itunes,my harddrive fails and the dog eats the Ipod[:0] am I SOL or does Apple keep a track of what i've downloaded and allow me to download them again for free?

Yes, they can re-queue them for download.

From iTunes, log into your account, and go to the music store.

You'll see a link on the left leading you into your account, where you'll find one saying "Purchase History" (or something like that, can't remember)

That lists ALL purchases you've ever made with your Apple ID. There's an email link there, and you can request that they set them up to be allowed to download again. (with a little explanation)

I think they'll only do it once for each file though, so be careful...

Does this apply to downloaded 'movies' too?

Thanks,

All depends.

Those that are downloaded from the music store, yup...
