N482MC (G-VROY) has just arrived at LAX from MZJ and will position to TPE later today as 5Y482 for maintenance and new livery. She will swap places with N481MC (G-VROM). N481MC is now in Atlas livery.

We really don’t need yet another aircraft movement thread for retired frames that aren’t even in the fleet anymore.

It’s not like there is much else going on to post about at the moment with most flights still being cancelled. A lot of people loved the 747s and want to know what’s happening to them, that’s why it’s in this thread!

Agree with you Ruby T - G-VXLG!
The six remaining 747s have been parked / in storage for some time, a lot of people loved them and are interested in what's happening to them.

I admit I'm an avgeek and really interested in their second careers.
The alternative was a one-way ticket to St Athan.

If anyone can tell me when G-VROS will get her new registration I would find that of great interest!
She won't be N483MC as that's already taken.

G-VROS.....

Don’t quote me on this because it could be wrong. The registration N488MC hasn’t been used yet and atlas have used the numbers around there so I think that is a really strong possibility for G-VROS’ new registration. However, if the rumour of LIP being used for cargo, that could be her registration. The latest pics visible from MZJ are still showing LIP and ROS with their engines on but GAL’s appear to have been removed. ;-(

Latest update on VQ-BZV - she appears to be ready to go and it looks like been out of the hangar for quite a while at stansted. The virgin red is still sparkling on her: https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/51289768298

This isn’t a cargo rotation, it’s part of the US evacuation operation from Kabul.

She’s flies cargo there every week. VQ-BZV isn’t a passenger plane.

Thanks for the info. It’s great to see her back in the skies again and even better that she’s carrying passengers! Has she still got her virgin seats? Any word on when ROY and ROS will be flying passengers again?

Can we all please stop the bickering, there are far more important things in this world to worry about at the minute.

I will lock this thread if it continues. I am also removing to previous 2 posts.

Please show other posters respect and consideration. Everybody needs to stop for second, step back and think about your response before posting. This applies to any online forum.

[As a reminder to everyone on here. Yes, I am a moderator on this forum, pretty much the only one left now. I do this in my own time. I don’t have to do this and I don’t get anything back for doing this and I shouldn’t have keep wasting my own time sorting out nonsense like this.

I shouldn’t have to do this; but I will also start sending warnings to posters as well as banning if it gets that far.

This is my final comment on this matter]

I would like to be really boring now but, as nothing much to chat about as normal due to commence soon we hope. If you see our old queens or have photos in new clothes :D I and others would love to see them. Also more indoor Manchester airport photos as i am yet to manage a flight this year as cancelled again. I have seen some of the video but want to see and hear what my fellow travelers think. Also time needed to get to gates etc. :)
