Yes, when it closes you will have to vacate the lounge.

However; TPA lounge is nothing to write home about. Very basic in food and drink offering. I’d look at other lounges available that are open after 8.30pm and see how much passes are.

Are you flying VS or DL though as VS don't (or at least didn't) use the DL lounge at TPA?

VS use that windowless waiting room they call the International Club Lounge. It's only saving grace is that you get escorted to the gate (or at least did when I flew home from TPA).

Virgin use the International Club Lounge at Tampa.
To be honest it was an extremely drab & soulless offering.
No windows, basic facilities and only two loo’s ! Makes the Orlando Delta sky club lounge feel like a palace in comparison.

The only tiny advantage is it's close to the VS departure gate.

As suggested, find somewhere else ;-)

I do find most American lounges awful, I actually prefer to find a bar with an atmosphere and pay most of the time, mind you I do the same at LHR with the club world lounges, - Awful

Apologies, I think I got a little confused (last time to Tampa, 6 months ago, flew with BA, so different lounge!)

You’re right, it was the window International Club lounge we used this time. They no longer escort you to the gate (there was an announcement saying this). Wasn’t great. Food was actually not terrible, but it wasn’t refreshed at all (we were in there a couple of hours), one of the offerings was a display of shrimp - as far as I could see, it wasn’t on ice or had any way to keep them cool, which seemed a bit mad. Only saving grace was the - er, shall I say waitress, but she wasn’t actually that, she was fabulous though, couldn’t do enough for the few of us in there.

Overall, quite uninspiring though.
