I'd always understood that in-flight treatments were allocated randomly but there may be new criteria at play.

I was on a half empty VS 9 recently and was a little surprised not to be called for an onboard treatment given the very light load. When the therapist passed through the cabin at the end of the flight handing out priority cards she said that as I'd used the Cowshed in the lounge I 'wasn't eligible' for a treatment, and so wouldn't be getting a priority pass.

It makes sense that passengers who have had a lounge treatment would be lower down the priority list on-board, but that you now don't receive a treatment at all was new to me.

Anyone know if this a new policy or just the interpretation of one IFBT? If a formal policy is in place I would think other factors should be considered ie revenue ranked above op-ups, etc. If you're travelling on a full fare it's not great PR to be told you're 'not entitled' to something that's heavily promoted as part of the in-flight service and passengers could be told ahead of time so they know they're disqualifying themselves by using the Cowshed.

The list of PAX that have had a treatment at Cowshed is indeed passed on to the IFBT, but that doesn't stop you gettign another. You will be down the list in terms of priority (unless you of course have a priority card!).

And I have being given a priority card after not getting a treatment onboard but having had one in the CH. There is a policy in place about priority for treatments, people who have been upgraded are down the bottom of the list for starters, and a list of status is known by the crew (and who the staff are).

Poor interpretation by one IFBT by the looks of it.

This was my belief from earlier postings and past experience (I didn't get a treatment or a card in Jan 05) and so I was pleasantly suprised to get picked last week on a fairly full flight even though I had already visited the Cowshed.

It does seem like it's often down to the whim of the IFBT. I've been called on an op-up and then not on a full fare ticket when my husband travelling on a companion was.

Wish it was a bit more transparent.

Agree with jetwet1 - a spa shouldn't make you feel like a heifer!
