We have booked our son who will be 14 months his own seat for our next trip to Orlando. We have requested the infant care chair from VA has anyone used it? Have heard stories of people booking this- it not being available and the child having to sit on the adults lap!!!

If you are travelling to/from Orlando the chances are you will be on a B747 so There are 3 Infant Care Chairs (ICC) per aircraft. When a seat is booked and payed for children between 6 mths and 3 yrs have this as an option, request this in advance through reservations.
Usually they will try and seat at a bulkhead (except A346 due to airbag seatbelts) but if skycots are required then a normal row may be required. the best option is the K seat but B,E and F seats are ok mainly due to the fitting.

^ If you are using a care chair 99.9& of the time you will not be giving the bulkhead seat at check in.
