Infamous Availability Tool

I was looking through some of the trip reports (work is a bit quite at the moment) and I noticed much talk of the Mathias Availability Tool. Google was of no help - can someone point me in the right direction please? This sardine is hoping for some extra stretching room on VS003/4 soon and want to assess upgrade to UC chances.

Unfortunatley availability tools bear little relation to
actual aircraft loads. The other day it showed 9 seats for sale in premium even though it was already well overbooked !

Yup, the number of seats available to buy and the physical number of the seats available on the aircraft are 2 separate numbers.

And, of course it can go the other way
W might show 0 but there are actually many seats
as they intend to up/downgrade and overbooked Y or J !
