Using Continental OnePass Miles on Virgin?

I am trying to book from LHR to SYD or LHR to HKG on Virgin in Upper using my Onepass miles. This is for a flight in September this year.

Does anyone know why Continental aren't showing availability? I have always been told to book reward tickets early, but is this too early.

The Continental lady didn't know and she advised I call Virgin/

Any thoughts would be most gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.....

Hmm. Well if VS using CO miles does not work out Q.A.N.T.A.S. is also a OnePass partner.

FYI:

I booked my free UC tickets (using DL miles 11 months in advance) and got the dates I wanted but the exact flight (Orlando) was not available and I had to take Miami.

Far from being too early, I would say it is too late.

The best time to book reward tickets is - as soon as they become available. i.e. as close to the 337 day limit as you can.

I think Nick's right on the point. Also, just FYI Delta has discontinued offering reward tickets for travel on VS.
