Hi,
When the LGW 744s go in for a UCS refit, will they remain in the layout they are in now (nose section, 2 rows in Zone B) or to the LHR 744 layout, or will it go to just the nose section. Also, will they get a bar or massage section if they do change the layout?
Thanks very much!

On a recent flight back from JFK I was speaking to one of the cabin sups about the same thing.
She was under the impression that the LGW 744's would only have suites in the nose section with no onboard bar or therapists.
I guess they will use the remainder of what is UC downstairs for more PE on the LGW flights.
This wasn't a dead cert, but it was her impression of what their intentions are for the LGW fleet.

I wonder if the ruduced service will mean cheaper fares or reduced points requirements?

I have heard that A zone will get suites and a bar!!!
B zone will be reconfigured to PE and also upper deck will be PE.
PE is so popular these days, that mean Y config will reduce!

A Zone getting a bar? I wonder whether that will be as big as the LHR one's, only several months before we find out? I wonder where it will go, but that will be great for UC customers on LGW flights, coupled with the Suites! I understand them adding PE seats, and reducing some others on these a/c.

There is no room in Zone A for a LHR-747-style/size bar.
Unfortunately.

Perjhaps it will be a small bar where the current massage area is on the LHR fleet?
