Hi, my wife and I are flying VS UC LHR-SFO on 3 Aug '06 and returning UC on 19 Aug '06. This is our first trip in UC and I am unsure where would be best to sit. At the moment I have chosen seats 8A and 9A but would appreciate some advice from more experienced UC v-flyers.
Regards

Seat 8A is my personal favorite when flying on a LHR B747. Great seat

I'd stick with those [y]

6A & 6K as it's you and your beloved had these in January albeit on a LGW 744 however thats the same for a LHR version. Nice and cosy for the 2 of you and as stated extra space in front of the seat to put bits & pieces downside you don't have an overhead bin, either put above seat 8 or ask the crew to stow in in the wardrobe.

I would go with 7/8/9 A/K. Upstairs is also good but for the fact that about 80 people will beat you to immigration!

Based on service deIivery and comfort I dont think there is such a thing as a bad seat on A 747 UCS? but then Im only looking from a crew point of view. I agree that some seats may have a slight benefit or dissadvantage but not to split hairs over

I'm a 6A/K man. Can't beat 'em, as long as you're travelling as a couple.

Thanks for all your advice, I think I'll stick with 8 & 9A for now and maybe see if 6A & 6K are available when I check in.
Cheers
