Hi All
I am loooking for a little advise if possible. I need to fly to Shanghai next September and while in the area will go for a quick business trip to Hk. I would love to fly with Virgin again in UC but would like to maybe get some advise from you experts on whick Uk airport would be best to fly our from and what aircraft is usually used on these flight paths. Would the UC have V Port etc. My ony alternative is BA or Cathy but Cathy is via Hk for the inward trip,

Thanks
Keith

ps Have booked the Hyatt fir Shanghai but any advise for a really top hotel in HK would be great as I have never been there before

If I have understood what you are getting at in your questions........ VS fly from LHR to PVG. All major carriers use LHR for PVG. To get to hong kong you can exit PVG or hong qiao, but PVG is more likely. As to which aircraft it would be best to check out the Which aircraft section on this site. Not up to date on HK hotels, but what ever you do, do not book the grand regency in shanghai.

ISTBC, but there is not a Mandarin Landmark in shanghai..... Suggest you cancel your Hyatt booking, but its up to you. Frankly it is overpriced, characterless, poorly staffed and not near anywhere interesting. It is however quite tall, but that it about all that can be said for it.

Jer
I have booked the Hyatt for Shanghai and am looking at the Manderin for HKG - Sorry about misunderstanding- - I heard the night club can be good fun at night in the Hyatt - but maybe thats not true - Would you suggest the Shangri La in Shanghai instead - I stayed there before in 2004 and I see the new tower is now finished - what would think or suggest but I do want to stay in a 5* ?
