Happy 4/20 to all people in the USA!

Wish I was at Haight and Ashbury in San Francisco yet I am not.

Would that be THIS 420, Ben? ;)

By the way - Tuesday morning was the Centennial of the Great SF Earthquake of April 18th, 1906. Lots going on in the city that day, including a lady who was 109 years old remembering what happened at just past 5am that morning [:0]

Sure am Paul. That is a better link.

April 20 is weird day. Parties all over the place here at school yet I am studying for my management final.

The current Pope Ratzinger put in office (per se) a year ago (4/19)
Seven years ago was the Columbine High School shooting
Hilter was born on this day.

Ben,
Thanks for reminding me of a great time in my life: it was like living inside a three-ring circus to be in San Francisco in the early 1970s. Counter-culture was just beginning in earnest and The Haight, as we called it then, was more a curiosity for national media than for those of us who called SF home. Sure, we knew there was a lot of dope being smoked there; there were probably more "head shops" on each city block in the Haight than anywhere I've ever been. Despite being portrayed in the media as a scruffy, drug-infested denizen the Haight was one of SF's "out there" neighborhoods, displaying a vibrancy that to this day helps define SF as an amazingly cosmopolitan outpost.
