Read the FAQ on accessing the Club House and it states:

Passengers requiring access to the Clubhouse must be flying with Virgin Atlantic on the day of entry. To gain entrance to the Clubhouse the passenger must have one of the following:
- an Upper Class boarding card;
- a Flying Club Gold card;
- a Gold card of selected other airlines' frequent flier programmes;
- a UK American Express Centurion card (black card with numbers starting 3742);
- a Flying Co. access voucher (London Heathrow & London Gatwick only);
- a Virgin Holidays pre-paid clubhouse access voucher (London Heathrow & London Gatwick only)

Here I am focusing on the third option, using a Gold card of selected other airlines FF programmes. To this I ask, what airlines Gold cards are currently getting access to the Club House (Delta maybe?[:I]

Here is your list:

BMI Diamond CLub Gold - access to the LHR Clubhouse only, and for the cardholder only - no guest.

Singapore Solitaire or PPS Club

Nope! And to be honest, thats the way I like it. I've yet to find any alliance lounge or Priority Pass lounge that comes remotely close to any of the VS Clubhouses, and I thinkt he restricted access is a reason.

Not very long at all

The Priority Pass Lounge (ServiceAir) in T3 used to be close to the VS Clubhouse Richard, until you got it moved

Yet another fine reason to pursue the upgrade to UC on my outbound flight. Last question....are all Club Houses located before or after security (at JFK, EWR, and LHR specifically).

JFK before security, LHR after security. Don't know about EWR

A folllow up question. As the lounges are located prior to security here in the US, how much time do you leave yourself prior to going through security. For example, if I have a flight at say 20:00 (depature) and I like to board early but hate hanging around the gate for long. So...

What time do they begin boarding?
How long does it take to get through security (is there a fast-track type line for UC flyers)?
Is it a long walk to gate (EWR and JFK)?

You just need to wait to be called from the lounge. The Clubhouse staff will always call the flight. They know roughly how long it takes to get through security.

You are usually left until about 30-40 mins before departure if you are in a Clubhouse, that way the gate area has usually cleared by then so it's just a case of walking to the gate and boarding the A/C.

Some airports (eg SFO) have a priority security channel for Business Class/Upper Class passengers too - which helps get you through to the gate quicker (dont know about EWR/JFK though)

JFK Yes. EWR no IIRC.

The walk to the aircraft at EWR is short, however.

Nope - all food/drinks/treatments in the CH are free (well apart from the extra you have already paid in the price of your ticket;))

Not so much on the priority security at SFO anymore, it is never been active in the last 9 months when I have flown out.

Hasn't it? TBH, I've not needed to use it for the last few times I've flown out of SFO anyway - the normal security line has been fine when we've been called from the CH to board (or at least, when I've gone back inside after my final smoke )

There is a priority line at JFK but usually there's such a scrum, compounded by clueless passport checkers, that it doesn't matter which line you use.

Breakfast in America? What time is the CH at JFK open in the morning, given there is an 07:35 flight - (which we're on)?

Also, I'm travelling with a Gold card holder and we're hoping to potentially have breakfast in the clubhouse before boarding - any idea what they might be serving???

JFK CH is open from 3:30am-7am and 1:30pm-9:30pm.

Can anyone tell me what sort of food they are able to serve in the JFK CH for breakfast and lunch/afternoon?

Washington IAD has sperate Boarding lines. The club house is directly opposite the departure gate.
