Whoops on VS33

Well greetings from the LGW clubhouse. The VS33 flight to ANU had a wee hickup this morning resulting in a small gash to a wingtip on Hot Lips when being towed from the gate.

After a couple of hours of superb service VS decided to deplane us (first!!!), return us to the Clubhouse, give us 20,000 miles and get another flight for us at 4pm.

Boy am I glad I decided to fly UC this time, I feel sorry for the people going on holiday though.

Right then if you'll excuse me I have a few frosty cold beverages to imbibe.

As you say - shame for those there on holiday [:(]. Still nice bonus if you were just returning home [y].

Indeed. And also for those doomed again to wander the dutyfreed halls of the general concourse rather than being able to sample the delights of the ClubHouse during the wait for the new flight. Been there, done that and it's no fun.

What was the replacement plane or did you still travel on hot lips?

It was jersey girl (I think). I just got home five minutes ago, first person through immigration and customs, which in Antigua is quite an accomplishment. A TR will follow but it has to be said that Virgin outdid themselves today, the way they handled the issue was excellent, the staff in the clubhouse and both sets of air crew were just outstanding.
