Now that both British and Australian airlines have been granted the right to operate more flights to Britain, does Virgin have any plans for new flights other than the present VS200/201 Services? One route I would like to see is Sydney-Tokyo-London.

Virgin Blue are evaluating either the B777 or A340 to operate flights to west coast of the USA ( SanFrancisco ? ) to tie in with Virgin America ,or surplus Virgin Atlantic A340s,chartered by Virgin Blue may operate the route for Virgin Blue . Virgin America begins operations early next year .

Doubt you would see a second Sydney service so soon.
IIRC Melbourne is the next destination they want to fly from, and it was rumoured here the other day that it could be a continuation flight from DXB.
Failing that, I'd guess either PVG or NRT (if they have the rights and can get the slots).

MEL would be a destination to get back at BA since BA recently pulled out of MEL.
Mind you, this would be an excuse for VS to return to Athens since Athens to Melbourne traffic is fairly heavy. Flying rights may restrict this possibility.

Maybe via DXB? Only thing is that is an EK route but you never know.
