Hi Mole
I understand that this is never certain until the day of the flight, so in short the answer is no. If was going to say that if you are a betting person you can have a look at the Resources / Which Aircraft Will I Be On page and see what aircraft have been flying that route but when I checked it came up with nothing !
the "Sticky" at the head of this Forum may provide some clue..

It'll almost certainly be a 747-400.
Then, you have a 62.5% chance it will be Nova IFE, 37.5% change Oddysey IFE.
Beyond that, you'll have to wait until you see the plane at the airport as these things change from one day to the next and you can't guarantee which exact plane it will be until then. The planes operating from Manchester usually change over every 3 or 4 days.

Wafren - as mentioned it will def be a 747, as mentioned a few times in the sticky at the top of this section, you never can tell what you will be travelling on, good news is that now G-VXLG has just been re-fitted to LGW/MAN config there is an increased chance of Odyseey IFE (no chance of V-Port) so keep your fingers crossed.

[V]oh i know about the nova thing and stuff, i have done lot of topics on the subject, i was one of those people who fell for the Virgin sell on the web site, get on the plane naff IFE on games, flims etc BUT super flight nice champers great service we where really looked after up stairs in PE
with regards to G-VXLG i was thinking the same as you chances have definitely increased for a good trip i have noticed that VROM has taken over this weekend, VAST has been in a lot the last couple of weeks as well so you never know[y] we are traveling UCS for the first time so should be fun what ever the aircraft. [8D]"hey we are going to Barbados" [8D]cant wait

What do you mean Mole? IF you look at the Aircraft Database section of this site, the planes with LGW/MAN suite next to there name are the Manchester planes, also you can look at the "which aircraft will I be on" section, select your flight number and that will show you which planes have been operating this route most recently.

I was working up a fine conspiracy theory about it being a virtual route with people turning up at the airport...only to be never seen again...
But then I see there are a number of TR's on the route so it's probably something more prosaic like the database not being updated.
