Good offer. Especially when you consider you have to spend nothing to get it and o/l check in probably saves you hassle and improves your chances of getting the seat you want. [y]

Yes, Manchester does seem rather overlooked, but this appears to be a deal struck with the BAA, and they don't own Manchester so probably why it doesn't apply.

Looks like a good offer to me!! Shame I haven't go a VS flight booked before 31st of Oct........

Last time I was in T3 the queue for the bag drop was a bit of a nightmare - I am sure that VS will back up the offer with better service. :D

Excellent...I'll give it a whirl weekend after next.

I'm sure this won't be seen as an attempt to reduce staffing levels at check-in though. [V]

Sorry, finding it real hard to get excited about money-off vouchers for spending money in places I don't actually spend any money....[ii] When the title said "Free Gift", I thought it was actually going to be a gift - shock, horror.

Cheers

Michael

I think you can count the massage & make up as a freebie, although, that said, my cynical side thinks they'll be selling you time share during the treatment... ;)

I see they are giving away a Fist Class upgrade on the Heathrow express - about the only benefit that Silver gets you!

Oooh and it is still on when we fly out - never used OLCI so may give it a whirl. Now what to have?
Bobbi Brown - Complimentary make up application.
Jo Malone - Complimentary hand and arm massage.

Decisions. Decisions.

A nice offer in my opinion to try and get people to use OLCI - your average passenger will buy something somewhere in Duty Free, so will make use of it.

Thanks,
Richard

Because of the problems on virginatlantic.com, I've been told they've had to roll the web code back to the last working version, which basically means this promo has been delayed. A few customers would have recieved their vouchers, and those will be honoured. I'll let you know when they let me know if and when this promo is re-launched.

Yeah, same here Michael. Not a freebie, but just trying to get you to spend on something you probably really, really, REALLY don't want!

OLCI always seems a bit overhyped to me as the 2 times I have done it its offered me no benefit what so ever. Sure there is a better chance of securing the seat, but I have never been moved from the seats i have "reserved" online in the original booking. Also the bag drop line and the self check units have always had bigger queues than the PE and Upper desks, that i have then used to drop my bag off at.

But as a true yorkshireman a freebie is a freebie!!:D

Virgin have now resolved the problem with their site, and the promo is live again.

So what happens if you OLCI in the morning and then twilight check-in at LGW, do you still get the discount etc??

As I understand it, you would have still checked in on line, but used twilight as a "bag drop" service. As such you would get the discount. It seems to me to be like checking in on line, then going to the ticket desk because the bag drop queue is too long. In this case, all you are doing is using the check in desk to drop bags and to pick up your boarding cards.
