Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but couldn't find anything, so...

...ages ago we used 156k miles for a UC return to New York (2x80k minus a special offer miles discount).

We now want to change the flights to LAX or SFO (now 2x100k for a new booking).

I know we'll have to pay the 2x£25 change charge, but does anyone know if we'll have to "pay" the new milage rates or get away with the old rates?

It'll be the new rates I'm afraid. You're not changing the flight - you're rebooking it, so it'll be the full whack...
