Welcome and nice plan.
See
WHICH AIRCRAFT WILL I BE ON? for detail on the aircraft. It'll most likely be a 747/400 with UC at the pointy end. Actually I guess both ends could be described as pointy, so to be more specific, at the front. And I say "most likely" as the current fleet has those aircraft flying ex Manchester, but I guess there's an off chance that things could change in 12 months.
Search for Upper Class in the forums and you'll find lots of threads and comments. One thing you don't get ex Manchester is a Clubhouse[n].

Firstly, welcome to V-Flyer
As Paul has said, if you use the sites
Search Engine then you will find a few threads where similar questions have been asked and answers given, try searching using a few different key words and this should give you plently to look through. Also read through some of the Trip Reports, which will give you other V-Flyers insights into flying UCS.
Although you don't get a Virgin Clubhouse at Manchester, you do get use of the Escape Lounge, which is still a nice break from the usual terminal crowds.

Hi welcome to the site, as others have said there is a search feature on this site, however I understand that asking your question in a thread is a comfort and good introduction with your 1st post, and your a bit exited.
You will almost def be on a 747/400.
Upper Class will be to your left[}:)]as you enter the plane, just past the downstairs section of PE.
14 suites right at the front
romantically inclined people prefer 6ak or 7ak
there will be a small bar on board
you will immediatly be offered a glass of champers
they will ask if you want to know how to work the suite
the seat is comfy and reclines to an extent
infront of that an ottoman that you can put your feet on or your partner can sit on in flight.
you will have a large sturdy table for your meal, your partner can eat with you if you like.
you should be given an amenity pack ( quality of this seems to be work in progress )
Ninja sleep suites are available for night flights and if you want one on a day flight just ask they might have a few.
You will have a menu and be asked what you would like to eat, this will be a three course meal served on plates, also there are light bites which you can ask for at any time ( seemingly .
You will also get afternoon tea or breakfast ( depending on day/night flight )
You will get a duvet and pillow should you want some sleep
There will be TV as well but not V:port unless things change in the next year.
Upon booking you should be able to select your preferred suite
( subject to operational changes ) have a look at the seat review section on this site.
You can use OLCI from 24hours before flying to double check your seat and check-in on line.
You will be able to use the UCS checkin to drop your bags off,
you will be given an invite to the Escape Lounge airside, its not fabulous but its somewhere quiet.
You should also get priority boarding.
Are you intending to propose on the flight?

Also with the Freedom Menu onboard for UC passengers, you can request anything from the menu to eat whenever you fancy. So if you wish to wait a while before having dinner just let the crew know and that won't be a problem.

You should get invites at checkin, if not ask them for details of how to get it.
Proposing on-board will be fabulous! I'd call Upper Class reservations and let them know, see if they can offer anything to make it a special moment. Also when your onboard escape for a few moments "to go to the toilet" and have a word with the Flight Services Manager (the person in-charge of the cabin and all service), let them know you are about to propose and ask them to have some glasses of champers or whatever you'd prefer to toast with and celebrate afterwards.

There was a Trip Report on ths site from someone who was travelling in UC on a LGW-somewhere route & the crew let a couple from PE into UC under false pretences [to the female of the couple] so the guy could "pop the question" at the bar. The bottle of champers then followed.
Given that you are travelling in UC, a call to Virgin UC reservations should ensure that they can sort out something for you.
