I've just sent the ecard to my colleague to register her for flying club.
How long does it take after she's registered to be able to register the 4 other friends she's flying with?

Once your colleague has registered for Flying Club membership, she should be able to sign into her Flying Club account from the VS website straight away. When signed in, she wll be able to send the e-cards to the people she is travelling with.

Don't forget to make sure the booking is in a mpm qualifying fare class otherwise you will earn no miles!!

Don't ordinary cash fares qualify too?

ISTBC, but all cash fares in all classes qualify for the Miles More Friends offer - with the exception of the Economy fare codes Q, X, V & N. These are the cheapest 4 fare buckets in Y and are very restricted in terms of changes etc.

Yep totally right James, I was just making the point because the majority of you bog standard Economy fares are booked in 1 of the 4 codes that are not eligable and it is a mistake I know a few people have made, thought they were due mpm bonus miles for refering a friend but then realised the ticket was booked in a fare code that didn't qualify.

Neil - Interesting you should mention the fact that most of the Y fares are in these 4 class codes - yup, I've sent a friend a MMF invite, only to find he is booked in X one way & N the other.
Interestingly, back in Jan 2004, I booked a LGW-MCO-LGW return on eBookers for Nov 2004 - their fare was much lower than what VS were offering on their website at the time. The ticket that came was in M class, so not an "ultra-cheap" one - odd to see a third party company undercutting VS.
