I know someone has just posted about UCS Heathrow, but I have just booked my first UC flight from Gatwick, please can you tell me what to expect from check-in through to the plane.

Come on, try and get me more excited than I already am (no rude comments please) [^]

The UCS expericence at LGW is usually a good one, check-in to your own dedicated check in area and then make your way through security (no fast track[:#]) and to the lounge. Sit back and marvel at the planes taking off through the panoramic windows of the stylish London Gatwick Clubhouse. The Clubhouse is perfect for relaxing in with a drink or bite to eat from the Freedom menu, before your Virgin Atlantic flight departs.

See here

Go to boarding where priority boarding SHOULD take place. Sit down in your suite and enjoy the flight, get through security at MCO and then your bags should come of first. Are you flying UCS on the way back?[y]

Remember there's a seperate baggage claim for Upper and Premium in Orlando.

I love the LGW UCS cabin.... just 14 seats in the very front of the 747 very cozey cabin... (it feels really wierd though when taxiing, as you're sat in front of the front wheel).

Ben you have just restored some faith in my own sanity!!!![:p]
It is so different too being sat towards the middle or the back. Until you experience it you cannot believe how much more the turn's are exaggerated. Feels strange...:D

Our first UC flight was in Zone A Row 6 on a 747 - something quite cool to think that your sat infront of the pilot!

The UCS config on Gatwick is really nice, because it is so small it makes it all the more exclusive feeling to my way of thinking. And don't forget to take advantage of the bar!

Have never been in the forward section of UC on a 747 - regretting choices of seat now; I wanna try this out:D

Oh its not frighteing... its kinda cool... and good practice for those parks in Orlando! LOL

Its the feeling of going sideways when you turn onto the Runway thats the strangest.

You are indeed infront of the pilots, as the cockpit is just above the bar.

Sideways movement is very wierd, feels so wrong given most of the flight is motionless!!

I find the taxi onto stand fun also, you pass the Airbridge and seem to be heading straight into the terminal. Feels like a fastrak way to get to immigration until you come to a halt just in time!!! [:p]

Is this new? Was not the case in June???

We've never been issued fast track cards in LGW but we've always gone through the fast track queue. Can't say if it's ever been faster than the rest though [:?]
