Greetings Gurus

I am off to Delhi on 17th Nov flying UC, Can anyone tell me if I will receive fast track immigration at Delhi? I have a long drive in front of me and really need to know realistically how long I should expect it to take to clear immigration.

Having just experienced getting a visa at the Indian embassy in London [|)], I would like to try and avoid the same experience!

Your experiences and advice would be welcome.

I have certainly never seen any fast-track immigration provision at Delhi and I've flown in there quite a few times. How long it takes to get through is a good question. From memory, it can take anywhere between 20 mins and an hour. I don't believe there's anything you can do to speed it up. If you're travelling UC, then at least you stand a good chance of being at the front of the queue.

There is no fast track immigration at DEL.

I flew UC on nthe 21st August ( arriving in DEL at 1040) and was through immigration in 2mins.

The immigration hall was empty when we arrived ( I think the VS arrival is at an off peak time)

Thank you Chris & TBS for your first hand experiences. At least I now know that I will be involved in what Indians call 'queueing', and the rest of the world calls 'a scrum'!

If DEL is anything like BOM then you are through in minutes.
I have arrived on VS at 10am and SQ at 9:30 both times I was in Business so quick off the plane, and arrived at @20 desks, each manned and eagerly looking for a "customer".

I concurr with the above; I flew PE into Delhi a few weeks ago, and I was through immigration within 10 or 15 minutes. But, are you really going to drive yourself? I was so pleased I had a driver - inside the cities is mayhem, and outside them was little better!

No way am I driving in India! I have hired an a/c car, a driver for 6 nights and everything included for a price that is about the same as 1 night in a Delhi (international) hotel!!
