does it cost anything to join flying club if not anyone wanna recomend me. also can i claim from last trip man-orlando feb2004 & also the one io have just booked for next year.......fell like im missing out on something anyone put me straight?

The Flying Club is free to join. You can claim miles flights already taken within the previous six months.

I see Nick's answered most of your questions, just to quote the answer from the VS site FAQ):

Q Can I claim miles for any flights on which I travelled prior to joining flying club?
A You are able to earn the miles and tier points for flights taken prior to joining the flying club. However all retrospective mileage credits must be claimed within six months of the qualifying transaction date

For future flights, simply make sure your FC number is added to your flight details
