Baggage handlers at the country's biggest airports, including Heathrow and Gatwick, have voted to strike in a dispute over pay, threatening chaos to summer flights, it was announced today.

Members of the Transport and General Workers Union employed by services group Aviance overwhelmingly backed walkouts in protest at a 2.5% offer.

OMG - I hope this is resolved quickly, 2.5% doesn't seem bad with low inflation but I guess it's more complex than that?

This morning's Telegraph listed some affected airlines. VS wasn't one of them, but that can't be definitive as the Aviance group handles about 25% of flights of LHR, as well as other airports. The airlines listed are BrMid, Lufthansa, Iberia, Singapore and South African. Sounds like T3 carriers to me...

Does anyone know who does VS's handling at UK airports?
