Hey Folks
My wee bro is taking part in the special olympics in october and I was thinking of going over to watch him for four or five days (I can use my miles for the dates I want) but the thing is, I can make no sense of the Visa rules!

Can anyone help me?! I read somewhere if you are staying less than 5 days I dont need one? Argh! [:?]

You will need a single entry visa I believe from the info I can remember.

Only transit passengers who are connecting within 24hrs don't have to apply.

Hope this helps...:D

Yup, AFAIK, anyone entering Mainland China needs a visa, unless you are going straight to Macau or Hong Kong.

It can be easier to get an agency to arrange your visa for you as the Embassies are closed weekends and you cant do it while you wait. Places like Travelbag and plenty of China Tourist offices will do the hard work for you for a nominal fee.

Thanks,
Sarah
