Online Check-in

Hi

Having only recently discovered that my son (whos 8) is booked on an adults ticket to florida (though we have only paid the TA a childs fare)I wonder if I will have any problems using online checkin next week (i.e. it not accepting his Dob for the ticket type, like it did for the API info). The Virgin help desk just said it would be fine and we would generally have no problems.

I'm just a natural worrier, and would prefer to online check, rather than wait till Manchester airport (we haven't any pre-assigned seats).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Martin.

No, you shouldn't have any problem. The OLCI system does not know what fare of ticket you are on.

I see it all the time where people have either checked themselves in as kids and they're middle aged men or people who've checked their children in as infants and not given them a seat.

Many thanks, thats reassuring.

I've also noticed that while to get to 'manage your flight' I need to enter my 9th Feb travel date (as per E tickets) the itinery shows a travel date of 9th March [:0].
However, the countdown clock and seat plan functionality all seem to refer to the correct travel date - I therefore assume that OLCI will be ok also [?]. Technology eh!
