EWR (Newark) Clubhouse

Morning all!

A question for the gurus: I'm travelling from LHR to Quebec City via Newark on 23 April - EWR to EQB is with Continental. I've got about 2 hours on the ground at Newark on the way out. Can I use the EWR Clubhouse and will I have time or should I just head straight for the gate?

Cheers

Tony

You won't be able to use the Clubhouse when you arrive in EWR from LHR. The Clubhouse is for departing passengers. In any case I rather think it is past security but others will be able to confirm this.

In any case between immigration, claiming your bags and re-checking them it will take up a fair amount of the two hours

The EWR Clubhouse is before security. As Honey Lamb said, it's for departing passengers only. Sorry.

Also agree that by the time you've landed, gone through immigration and picked up your bags, they'd be little time to use a lounge anyhow.

Thanks,

David.

Another possible problem is that the VS clubhouse is in Terminal B whereas the Co flight will be from terminal C.

The EWR CH is airside, but if you've only got two hours then there wouldn't be much time if you could use it anyway:)

Thanks all - I've not been to EWR before and couldn't find any relevant info on the VS (or any other) website.

I do get 6 hours to enjoy the CH on the way back though!!!

Thanks for the informed replies.

Regards

Tony

Oh WAY too much time for Newark. Not my favourite CH - not a lot to do and not a lot of space. It is however a lot nicer than the alternative! Still you can go in and create a base then go walkabout :)

I wonder if VS will ever decide to make a new clubhouse, perhaps a bigger one with windows? It would certainly improve things.

I actually quite like the EWR CH but there's no way I could spend six hours in there; I've only used it once (I'm more of a JFK man myself - sorry VS-EWR;)) and that was for around an hour over breakfast which was perfect. Great staff, but that's not going to help over six hours.

Hmmm. There's not a lot I can do to reduce the time on the ground there - either way it's better than being out on the main concourse!

Cheers - expect a report at the end of April.

I must be going a bit nuts here - I feel sure it's landside. I thought both JFK and EWR Clubhouses were before security screening. In the case of EWR I definitely recall that the Clubhouse is in the main shops area.

Thanks,

David.

Clubhouse is landside. Down the stairs off to the left.

Sorry, I meant landside - as Decker says, it's on the left just before you go to through security.[:I][:I][:I][:I]
