Z Fare Rules to Dubai

Can anyone tell me what the advance purchase rule is for Z fares to DXB? Checking online today, for a flight in 36 days, they're still available, and I wonder until when as I make my mind up?

RESERVATIONS FOR ALL SECTORS ARE REQUIRED AT LEAST 21 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE. TICKETING MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 72 HOURS AFTER RESERVATIONS ARE MADE OR AT LEAST 21 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE WHICHEVER IS EARLIER.

Splendid!
I have to go to Sri Lanka for a conference end-April. Usually I would have gone through on Emirates. However with idle time I looked at options, Emirates in J would be £2,103 however Virgin in J LHR-DXB (Z fare) plus then Emirates in J DXB-COL comes in at £1,830. Seems like a no brainer ... apart from the longer connection time necessary in DXB. And I always thought Emirates priced connections very attractively ...
