V-Flyer

Me and the present Mrs Treelo have Q class economy tickets for our upcoming trip to MCO (3 weeks on Monday but who's counting?!?!)
Anyone got thoughts on how much I would need to pay (on the day at MAN) to get to a class from which I could upgrade to PE using miles? We're in PE on the way back, and wanted to do the same outbound. Ta.

Wow - I have never seen a question on V-Flyer that has been read 120 times and no one has answered it. [:?]

Personally I have no idea of the answer, and would suspect that - with most 'on the day' upgrade questions, there are too many variables for anyone to give an accurate educated guess. Or, it could be that fact that it is a question about Manchester, and a lot of us have never flown out of there on VS.

I suppose it will all depend on the load, the catering, whether targets are being met (if there are such things) and any number of other factors.

Have you tried ringing the Flying Club? You never know, you may get someone who will go out of their way to find out for you.

I too was surprised at the lack of response when I checked back at just over 100 viewings, until I realised that the pillock who had posed the question in the first place ([:I][:?]) had missed out the pertinent and meaningful words 'using miles'.

Slightly OT but last November on the way back from MCO to LGW I asked at the airport about up - grading from EC to PE, and was quoted £199 ... I was travelling on a 'Miles Plus Money Ticket'. I didn't but during the flight a stroll to the front revealed the PE Section on the 747 - 400 lower deck was empty ...

I'm guessing that's if there's loads of space they're up for doing some sort of deal that benefits both parrties !

I was about to say..the only prices I have ever seen posted have been 199 pounds, but that was at LAS on a very slow day.
