Welcome to V-Flyer, Darren.

This is the most comment question asked, and one we can't answer.

For security reasons, airlines keep the actual plane to be used on a route very close to their chest.

For the best guess - see this page which will tell you which plane has been flying the route recently.

Hi Darrenlois, and welcome [y]

You may find this thread useful as a starting point...

Q: Which plane will I be on?
A: We don't have access to details of the actual plane that will be on a specific route, or a specific day. Aside from security concerns, please remember that the plane assigned to a particular flight is not guaranteed and can change right up to departure due to operational reasons. Usually you can work out the type of plane by comparing the the Virgin Atlantic seat map associated with your booking and the seat maps on V-Flyer. Also, the route history page will give you an idea of the type of plane recently flying that route.

Hope that helps.

Hi and welcome to V-Flyer!

If you go to the "which aircraft" section it will give you an insight to the type of aircraft used on that route.

I had a quick look and it seems to be a 747-400 which is used prodiminetly on your route.

Have you pre-booked your seats yet? Staying anywhere nice in Barbados?

Hope the above info helps

Also welcome to V-Flyer from me too:)

Just to add to the above posts, for some reason the route history for Barbados ex MAN & LGW does not seem to be working so that might be of much use to you for this particular flight, but it will almost certainly be on a LGW/MAN config B744, here is a seat map for this a/c so you will be able to have an idea of what a/c you will be flying on.

These a/c have either the Odyseey or Nova IFE system, details about them can be found in the Inflight Entertainment section

Hope you have a great flight and holiday
Neil
