V-Flyer

A few months off from v-flyer, with no urge to jump on the next 747 in sight.

Then, literally 24 hours after rediscovering the best forum site in the world, look what happens. I've got a little aeroplane underneath my name........

Yes, this site does seem to have a habit of making you spend money, just booked our first UCS flight, something V-Flyer "made" me do[:w]

Sorry but I'm afraid it's incurable. The next stage is UC-itis and that is terminal. There's no going back after that. You beg, borrow, steal and sell your granny to be able to sit in those hallowed seats. [:0]

UC-itis is why I had a break from V-Flyer in the first place! What ared you trying to do, get rid of me again?

I've found the only real way to get past those post holiday blues is to start planning another - once jetlag allows. Don't actually feel as though our last trip happened, as my mum-in-law was taken terminally ill while we were away and passed before we got back. A very stressful time.... am definitely feeling the need to 'get away' after we've completed all the necessary stuff here...[:#]

Don't worry it gets worse from here; you'll need to start thinking of implausible excuses to justify that suite and you may even find that your fingers (with a mind of their own, of course) somehow find their way to the VS booking system of their own accord;)

The way I look at it, you get double miles with an upper fare.So that has got to be worth 12000 miles. Now an economy reward ticket costs 20000 miles. So if a Y ticket is worth about £600 that makes the 12000 miles worth £360. If you buy wisely you might get an upper ticket for about £1200, which less the discount they in effect of £360 makes the net price of an upper ticket just £840. Which is just £240 more than that economy ticket. So all you have to do is drink and eat £240 worth and you are quids in! I bet I could get through that value in the Clubhouse alone, especially if you allow about £40 for the haircut.

So where I get to, in my alternative Upper Class world, is the conclusion that by flying upper class you save money compared to flying economy. If you think about it, it is no different to the arguement that my other half makes during the January sales - "I just saved over £100!"

from MCO next April, took some mega bargaining but we reached a compromise in the end, although we still hoping that we might be able to use some miles to upgrade for our BOS/NYC trip

Well I thought it was maybe a bit early to add it to the itinerary section, nobody else has any flights after early Feb next year added yet and I didn't want to look like a sad person[:I][:#]

A fair point VS045 - Sorry Attitude, you just finish your drooling, then get it onto your schedule. Don't worry about looking like a sad geek - after all, as visitors to vflyer we all look like that anyway!
