Hi there,
Can anyone tell me if i'm able to take a fold away pushchair with me in the cabin? Or would it have to go in the hold with the luggage? I have a 2 year old and would rather have him in a pushchair whilst waiting for the flight
Thanks
Zoe

Pretty sure it will need to go in the hold, but you may be able to hang onto it until the gate area. Others with nippers will be able to advise better, I'm sure

You are not able to take pushchairs onto the a/c. What we usually do is keep the pushchair with us and then when we get to the gate the staff their take it from us, label it up and it goes down and is put in the hold. We have done it this way loads of times and have seen many others do it too.

In UC you are able to take pushchairs into the cabin. On my last flight to MCO there was an infant who was strapped into his buggy before we disembarked and I'm sure iforres1 mentioned being aloowed to bring his on board

Since our son was born we have travelled a few times in UC and on both outbound and inbound flights have been able to take the stroller on board and it was then stored in the wardrobes [y]

That's pretty much the procedure. The only change I would point out is that they normally tag it up at check-in so all you need to do at the gate is drop it off.

My advice - Take lots of nibbles - but try to keep sugar intake down. How old is your son?

Hi, he'll be nearly 2 and a half when we travel, 1st holiday abroad with him so am a little apprehensive to say the least! The thought of him running up and down the ailes brings me out in a cold sweat [:$]! I remember feeling sorry for the poor parents on long haul flights years ago now it's my turn [:?]!!

On our recent flight to TAB I was at least 20+ times up and down the length of the 747 with our little one. At 2 they just don't want to sit. We were in UC and had the buggy put in the wardrobe.

Well haven't you got a whole lot of fun to look forward to...? To echo what others have said, travelling PE will mean you'll have to give your pushchair up at the gate (though to be fair we manage to offload the unruly hang-glider to oversize baggage as soon as we can at let the our little angel walk/be carried).
Additional tips would be to take two or three new toys and/or books on with you (they'll hold jr.'s attention longer if they're new) and, if possible, a portable DVD player with some of his/her fave programmes and cartoons on DVD.
And if you haven't discovered Medised yet - where have you been?

Yes, but its effects are only slight. Try Tanqueray instead.

Medised, what a great idea, i could always slip a small dram into his cup, but that would mean less for me!!
I shall certainly take some new toys and books and with any luck he'll behave, as for me who knows after a few Vodka and Tonics! [:0]
Thanks
