Do missing miles claims usually work?

Hi guys,

I sent off a claim for missing miles from a March Hyatt stay about 10 days ago. After reading of people's woes with trying to get partner miles credited this way, I'm assuming that I'll have to chase these up after the month is up.

Are missing miles claims usually processed successfully? I know people are only really likely to comment when the process doesn't work as it should, but it really does seem that claiming missing miles is one of the most error prone interactions you can have with VS.

Thanks,

Ben

Yup, they usually work just fine but often take a while.

FC have to check with the partner themselves - this bit can take some patience as you're then in the hands of their procedures (and thousands of claims they receive) rather than Flying Club.

Thanks. I'm a bit concerned about this checking with the partner business because Hyatt mistakenly credited me with Gold Passport points instead of miles, and as I understand it you can only choose one or the other. Oh well, fingers crossed!

... and that's why they check - to make sure they're not double-crediting ;)

I have successfully made a claim for a Hyatt stay. Takes around 6 weeks and the points just appear (no notification).

Good luck

Thanks for the info, it's good to hear one positive report! Had you been credited Gold Passport points in error like me, or nothing at all?

Cheers,

Ben
