Greetings from the Clubhouse

Well here I am nicely ensconced in the Clubhouse at LHR after spending a (sleepless) night at the very nice Marriott. The flight from ORK was late - quelle surprise. That flight is ALWAYS late! I wimped out and took the Hoppa bus because at that time all I wanted to do was go to bed. Checked in OK. Got my key and went up to my room only to find someone already in it!!! Fortunately that was signalled by a Do Not Disturb sign.
I've just had the always delicious Eggs Benedict and I'm waiting for a treatment.
I'm so glad I came over last night - much more relaxing and with the same amount of sleep I would have had at home but an extra 2 hours in bed.
Don't know if I'll be in contact again till next week. See ya!

HL what was security like at T3 as far as the drop off pick up point was concerned, were they letting any vehicles in?

Glad to hear somebody's having a better time than me! I've been at Heathrow since 8am after my trains were unusually quicker than expected. Thought I'd turn up early to snag a good seat (18H - score!), but due to only getting 45 minutes sleep last night I've been contorting myself into all sorts of positions to grab some shut eye before my 3pm flight!
I'll get into the Clubhouse one day!

benamure - you should check out the Itinerary Calendar.
I'm sure Honey Lamb (or others who are travelling today) would have signed you in as a guest, had she known you were there too.

No vehicles were allowed at T3 when I was there on Monday other than buses. Other than that there was no notable difference to security. In fact, when I arrived at Fast Track it was indeed just that: fast - there was nobody in front of me.
45.

Oh dear! I saw you were travelling that day but because you were going on VS23 I assumed you would be checking in much later. Unfortunately I had also agreed to check in sbg's work colleague as he had to leave a day earlier than planned on VS21
