I've finally talked a couple of friends to try UC - they booked a pair of hideously well priced Zs to DXB just yesterday. The thing is, despite many reminders about the benefits of 'Miles More Friends' , they booked by 'phone and when asked if they'd like to join FC they said 'oh yes please!'. The prawns. So no bonus miles, or so it would seem.

Don't suppose anyone can see a way to get the 20K miles which should, so rightly, be mine?

Have they flown yet? If not, they could close there current FC account and open then use the MMF FC account.

They don't fly until October. I didn't really appreciate that you could close a FC account, which probably goes to show how slow my brain works on a Monday. A little bit of lateral thinking goes a long way. Thanks for that.

Does Z class get you a MMF reward? I had a feeling it didn't qualify

Yes - it worked for me in March for my GF's Z class DXB return [y]

Or just open a new FC account with the MMF program and change the FC number on the booking

Thanks Chuck. I've had words with my chums and they're going to try and sort things - either by, as you suggest, a quiet word with reservations or by closing their accounts. I've assured them that the extra miles will all be worth (but omitted to mention who does best out of the deal...).
