I had just arrived in on the VS604 from Cape Town the night before on G-VFAR, and sat the day after in Heathrow watching the news that the flight was truning back and due to land 10 minutes before my connecting flight departed, as a nervous flyer at the best of times, I thanked my lucky stars I wasn't on board at the time! Although there was something going on on the flight.....about 4 hours out of London, the senior flight attendant brought back the captain to inspect something in one of the luggage bins above the curtain between PE and UC, not sure if this was related?
