Yes, you are allowed to have a sleepsuit, but only a limited number are carried on daytime flights.

Thanks,
Sarah

Best to ask early on I have found the numbers are limited - and if you are on a flight from LGW, then apparently they 'store them in the hold' for the return flight[:?]

Hi Guys,

Is VS901 (NRT-LHR) and also VS19 (LHR-SFO) classified as daytime flights?:) As i would love to get sleepsuits on these routes in UC :)

Thanks,
K.

It was mentioned in the recent TR but Napamatt about the limited number of sleep suits on his recent VS19 day flight, with the crew saying only a limited number loaded for day flights, so try and board early to avoid disappointment.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

Sleep Suits = Second Hand Pyjamas. Eeww.

Take your own, at least that way you know no one else has worn them before you.

All flights that leave in the daytime 0715-1700 we only have 1 bag of sleep suits. So they are given out on a 1st come basis. You do need to request one.

On BA are the FIRST sleep suits 're-cycled'?

Ian

VS sleep suits are laundered. Often badly. On a flight back from SFO last year my father had one with the previous occupant's soup stains still down the front of it. Very off-putting.

And bear in mind - it's rumoured that there are some folk out there who wear their sleep suit sans underwear. Double eeww.

Must say the current VS suit is of a much higher quality than the BA F one which would not stand up to the laundry.

That reminds me of a friend who once worked for a US airline which was chartered by the army to take soldiers to and from conflict areas. He used to say that late in the night the crew would walk up and down the aisles with torches to see who was 'showing' in the night ... guess that never happens on VS [:I]

Well someone has probably worn the sleep suits from my last flights.

I commandeered a sleep suit for the outbound which I left behind. Mindful of mdvipond's observation that his father had soup stains on his sleep suit I did rather wonder whether the crew or whoever services the plane would have simply folded it up and placed it in its bag and then sealed it with one of those plastic tag guns - or indeed simply handed it out. For those of you concerned, I did not spill food on it nor did I "go commando"

On my return journey I also left the sleep suit behind because the house is awash with them and in any case I had an onward flight and would be caught with the "one bag rule" I had nowhere to stow it!
