Hi All,

I'm going to fly this route in Y. Do they serve food/snacks or do we need to pay?:)

I was thinking to go DL but tickets are really expensive as the discounted economy have all sold out! Will be flying early Jan to mid Jan 08.

I'm going to be missin gout on TP's and miles but i guess VX is worth a try!

Cheers,
K.

From "This is how we fly"

You shouldn't have to pay for stuff you don't want - like a meal you never asked for. That's why we offer an a la carte menu so you can choose what you want to eat when you want to eat it. But non-alcoholic drinks are always free

Thanks Decker. I wonder if the A320 will be comfortable for the transcon flights? I was thinking VX or AA...

How many A319s are with the current fleet.
I know that they leased them whilst waiting for approval, have the returned to VX?

Take VX...you will be happy with it...at least compared to AA...when AA had MRTC they were great..now they suck.

VX beats them hands down with the IFE, on a trans con you need either a good book or good IFE, overhead monitors just don't cut it anymore.

I didn't see any "a la carte" food offered but it was a very short flight I was on! I can only remember the soft drinks, beer and I think chocolates.
