Just got back from a VS018 EWR-LHR (daytime flight), with a flight time of 5:36. We had a 213 KM/h tail wind at one stage.

What's the quickest you've experienced and on what trans-atlantic route?

HLR - BOS on AA.

About 30 seconds. When you put yourself in that warm, safe place in you mind, time really flies by [:D]

VS004 Wednesday last week JFK-LHR flight time 5hrs 25mins. In fact, so quick that we were trundled off the gate to sit in a dull part of JFK until after 7 pm so that we wouldn't arrive before the 6am landing limitation at Heathrow. Second time this has happened to me, I have a view that the VS004 at 6pm departure from JFK is a little too early considering all these things.

Back in the 90s I remember a SFO-LHR in 8hrs 10 mins, very fast tailwinds all the way!

5 hours 15 minutes is the quickest I've had from either BOS or NYC.

Pre 2001, ORD-LHR on VS took around 6 hours 40 which I thought was pretty damn quick. [:)]

It was an EI A330... thank god it was quick because the service was complete and utter rubbish. It was a school trip, so we had no choice in flights, it was whatever the tour company booked. Never again...

Not TATL but TAP....well HNL - LAX in a shade over 3 1/2 hours [:0]

We had a tailwind from hell, first flight out after a typhoon, pilot came on and said the seat belt sign will not be turned off, if you need to go go now, there were no food or beverage runs, Mrs Scrooge stayed awake the whole way, I slept, got into LA at around 3 am.
