Virgin Trains have apologised to 76,000 people they 'accidentally' invited to a Golf Day at The Grove Resort in Hertfordshire.

The email should have gone out to 75 members of its first class travel club, but it appears someone selected the wrong mailing list!

Story in the Daily Telegraph.

Maybe that's what happened to VS' 'events' [:?]

Only, the list they've been sending them to by mistake contains NO addresses... [;)][:w]

Ah the old mailing list problem!

As a sender of these E - Mails now, I can tell you that where I work there's at least 20 different groups inc an 'All @' and it's very easy to get the wrong group as I found out when I E - Mailed 674, 000 people [V]

That is why you should put security on the Distribution Groups, and restrict who can actually send mail to them. [:)]
