Rumour has it that that V Australia will be flying between Sydney and.....
Los Angeles (confirmed),
San Francisco,
Singapore,
Hong Kong,
Shanghai,
Beijing.
New Zealand (short day trips)
Perth (short day trips)
Could it be that they are repositioning to more profitable markets; not so dependent on price sensitive pax?

Bill interesting that DJ will be putting V Australia on services across the ditch and on services to Perth. Surely this defeats the object of having DJ?
It could be that they believe V Australia will pick up more premium travel but I dont really see the demand after all airlines currently flying widebodies across the tasman in a LH configuration (ie: a decent J seat are):
- NZ ex AKL (mix of 777 and 744)
- EK ex AKL and CHC (777 and 345)
- LAN ex AKL (343)
- QF ex AKL and CHC (330/767 and 744)
I really do not see the need for a service that will compete with DJ's current operations.
