Chances of 3 rewards in PE to MCO???

The miles are mounting up and I should have enough for a companion and 2x75,000 for the family of 4 from LGW to MCO in December 2009. Does anyone have experience of trying to book this number of rewards in PE at that time of year?

Obviously I would book at the very first moment. Indeed would it be worth trying to book the outward flight when that becomes available and the return some two weeks later? Apart from 2 credit card charges are there likely to be any other additional costs/downsides? We'd always come back Economy if necessary.

Thanks

Trevor

Reward seats on all MCO routes are notoriously hard to get - especially around school holidays and even more so when you are trying to book more than one.

Um if it's early December and midweek you might just get lucky.

You'll also need to pay taxes and fuel surcharges per ticket which at the moment are in excess of £180.

Expect those to go up in the current climate!

My family and I have traveled in decemeber to MCO on 4 reward fares. They were alot of limitations when you couldnt use them due to the holiday seson. The earliest date we could get was like the 19th December, returning 31st Decemeber. Anytime between these dates the refused reward fares to anyone, but this was 3 years ago.

As Nick said MCO rewards are not easy to get. If however you can be flexible with your dates then they are available, or maybe even a couple of rewards and then pay for a couple of seats. Another option of course is to fly in/out of MIA as rewards do tend to be a bit easier to come by on this route.

And the other option is to go via New York. Reward flights are easy to find on that route. Once there you can get a jetBlue flight to Orlando for around $79. There's roughly 15 jetBlue services a day from the NYC airports to MCO.

It's also a good wway of breaking the journey and seeing NYC.
