With immediate effect, laptop computers can now be used with the in seat power supply without the need to remove the battery. [^]

Thanks for the info, Jetstreamer. [y]

Not before time, but at least VS got their act together eventually. [:w]

Wasn't the rule about having to remove the battery enforced on a very hit & miss basis? I have used my laptop with the in-seat power supply without ever being asked to remove the battery (& yes, the crew did see me using it). I am sure I have read TR's on here where some people were told they had to put their battery in a sick-bag to prove it was removed.

Good news that the official line has now been made clear though.

Good that they have seen the light, at last. Should save the crew getting into arguments with some of the pax too! Thanks for the heads-up Marc.

Remember some of us CAN'T remove the Battery from their Laptop (Mac Book Air users for example)

Before now I've got away with saying my laptop didn't have a battery, and letting the Flight attendants try and find one....
