Posted: 30 Jun 2008, 19:17If you are flying to Dubai, do not request any food (unless you are an insomniac): eat in the lounge and flip your seat into a bed as soon as the 'fasten seatbelt' sign goes out...
It was our first time to Dubai last August. We had a lovely meal in the Clubhouse, but decided to wait dessert until airbourne. We requested a quick plate of cheese and biscuits and Port. That took a GOOD 1.5, hours to be served. The very apologetic crew member said that 'it was taking time to set the galley up' [ii]. Just can't imagine how long an 'express' meal would take, if cheese and biscuits takes about 1.5 hours... [?]
We are going back to Dubai in 4 weeks. Will be eating in the lounge and sleeping the entire way to Dubai [|)]
