Trying to fly with a friend

I booked the same flight as a friend of mine to fly to Washington, DC. She's in Morocco at the time with little internet access, so I can't really contact her to coordinate this. She'll be coming through the UK next week, and we've booked tickets separately but we'd like to sit next to each other. Would it be possible to turn up at the ticket desk and request that we be sat next to each other? Just wondering how accommodating they'd be at Heathrow.

Cheers,
-Matt

Yes - if there are seats together available. Alternatively if she could give her her booking reference you could try to select seats next to each other in advance using the chose my seat option under manage my booking on the virgin website (although as discussed recently this is a request not a guarantee).

Echo Matt - ask for her six string booking reference then together with the flight details and surname go to the amend my booking option on the VS Web site and find two seats together than you can request. You'll need to do it twice, once for each of you as you are on seperate bookings so get all the details up front.

When you check in hopefully these requests will have been met.

I think you can call up FC and ask them to link your bookings, so if they have to move your seating you'll be more likely to be put together.

I've linked a booking before to share a CDC and I think they mentioned this. I'm sure one of the gurus can confirm...
