Hi, just a quick equestion.

I have been looking through the aircraft types section of the website and was wondering what the difference is between a 747-443, a 747-41R and a 747-4Q8.

Have looked around and cannot seem to work it out- I bet it is something simple!!!!

Great website folks!!!!!!!!!

G-VAST, G-VTOP and G-VXLG are ex-LHR planes and are configure 3, the rest are configure 2

It is quite simple really. They're customer codes Boeing use to differentiate clients and the two digits relate to who ordered the aircraft. 43 is Alitalia who originally ordered the frames but failed to take them. Q8 is ILFC leasing company, Virgin Blue also have aircraft with this code. 1R is aircraft ordered by Virgin Atlantic.

The difference is the small Y cabin behind the downstairs PE cabin. One config only has 2 rows the other 4.
