Hi
If I use miles to book a CDC with a reward ticket (12500 mls I think ??) does it have the same range as a CDC booked with a D or J
ie. a CDC booked with a D or J to florida will take you anywhere in Florida, is it the same with one booked with miles ?
many thanks
David

The range of the CDC;s in the UK are certainly much different.
See
here for the mileage bookings.See
here for J and D bookings. With regards to J & D bookings it certainly includes any address in Florida, but for reward bookings it simply says to check when booking for all US airports. Given the reduced range in the UK,i.e London and the Home Counties only, I wouldn't be too hopeful of getting a long way.
Maybe someone who has done it will have the definitive answer, but it may be easiest to give the FC a ring.

Thanks Nick
Have just phoned premier and for information, they will only travel within the miami area - around 1 to 1 1/2 hours for a booking with miles.

(do you ever feel that sometimes your travel planing gets too complicated and maybe a little ambitious [:D][:w])

I am surprised because they must have changed the rules, I travelled to Miami on an UC reward in Nov 06 and had a CDC take me to Orlando with no problems at all.
Thinking about it, I also know of someone else who has done this within the last few months too.

I believe they have Jilly - I am off to Marco Island via Miami tomorrow. Wnen I rang to see if I could have a CDC for the 3+ hour long drive they checked to make sure I was in a J or D (I am infact on J so OK) and told me they had to tighten up recently.

The UK limits have been in for ages - at least a year, maybe even longer.
If they have changed the US range, I am not at all surprised. From conversations I have had recently, just about the whole airline is being required to significantly tighten its belt in every possible aspect.

Thanks, it's good to know so I won't be disappointed next time. MIA was always a good option for rewards seats when I couldn't get MCO, but at least if I know in advance it makes the planning easier.
Have a great time in Marco Island, there and Naples are two of my favourite places to visit in Florida.
