The sale information text states:

...and Premium Economy upgrades start from just £130*

*Applies to flights inbound to the UK. An additional £40 APD is applicable on outbound upgrades from the UK.

'From' been the key word in that statement.

Does seem a little high though. The upgrade through most tour operators is half that! And I always think the miles plus money fares are no better than the ones you can get through consolidators anyway.

Virgin Holidays are asking a very similar price for PE upgrades on the LAS route as well.

Think it probably reflects how busy the LGW-LAS route is in premium economy!

I did read somewhere that the ASA was going to get tough on airlines with the 'from' advertising tool. I think they are more targeting he likes of U2, FR, BE et al who all seem to advertise flights for 10 quid until you realise there is only one seat at £10 and the rest are £200.

Then they it would look like there was no prem economy upgrades available for LAS at all in the table.

To be fair LAS is the only sale route where the PE upgrade charge is so high and the economy fare is pretty reasonable for the route.

Had a click on the sale link and thought some of the t&c's were a little cheeky, especially this one in respect to the upgrades to Premium Economy from £155

'*Applies to flights inbound to the UK. An additional £40 APD is applicable on outbound upgrades from the UK.'

So upgrades departing UK are 'from' £195 but upgrades departing US are 'from' £155 [V]

Blame the Government for that - if VS sold them for the same price they'd have to give HMG the £40APD regardless...
