Not sure whether is this a gripe or something I should have known (probably both[?])

Taking advantage of the UC sale I've booked (or was trying to) an outward trip to Barbados and return via Antigua for next year. Duly keyed in details via Multi City on the VS Web site and it brought up a return UC fare of 1372 each.

Excellent - went ahead and booked hotel accommodation in both islands quickly and returned to web site to complete booking - upon pressing 'continue', fare went up to 3114. So, started booking again - and yup despite price being 1372 on web site, pressing continue converted fare to 3114.

So VS Gold - dedicated line - thinking they'll fix it - nope. Open Jaw not available between Caribbean countries, despite web site allowing booking. No issue with this not being available, but disappointed the web site took you right through to confirmation before 'computer says no'.

And guess what.... I can do Club on BA to Barbados, back Antigua for 1347. Don't really want to - but seems such a shame VS can't...[n]

Interesting, I did this on a UC sale fare earlier this year, out to Chicago and back from JFK. Maybe it's the country thing [:?].

I think you can do pretty much any combination of US destinations. We've done the LAX/SFO combo several times.

The islands may have different rules I guess but you'd expect them to set the pricing engine up to prevent this at the start of the process not the end. Typical VS.
