VA in the news - bring back liquids!

Not sure how far this will go in this day and age, but I certainly miss being able to amble through London looking for odd bottles of scotch, Ardbeg special bottlings especially, and bringing them back here ...

I can't help thinking that there's a bit of circular logic here. Liquid restrictions should only be in place when there's a higher security risk... But removing restrictions might create the risk!

Remove the restrictions and you create the opportunity. Having just seen the BBC News video contained in the link above which shows the effects of half a litre of the mixture, I am firmly of the opinion the restrictions should remain[:(!]

But there's nothing to stop you sticking said items in your hold luggage ? For years I've brought stuff back from the US and the Caribbean (as it's almost always cheaper duty paid locally than duty free) in that way with no mishaps as yet.
